It was October of 2019, I had just left Los Angeles and moved to Dallas, Texas with the intention of purchasing a home and putting my son in a top private school. He was just a few months away from starting preschool. My partner, Alfonso, had no job lined up and at the time, I was only making about $1,000 a month in steady income from my small business, Let There Be Luz. Shout out to my Patreon community! One thing about me, I have never ever been afraid to move in faith. I feel the fear and charge forward. As a child, there were so many times that faith was the only thing I had. If I think about it, I suppose the only other option would be to fall into an abyss of despair and I never considered that. 🤷🏻♀️ I have been accustomed to jump and to have faith that what I need will be there when I land. ✨ Experience has taught me that I not only receive what I need but so much more. The space in faith is abundant. Alfonso had no job, I had my little $1k/mo, and we moved into an apartment that was in a nice side of town. Rent was $1,900 a month with a special they were running. While living in Dallas in my 20’s, I used to run past this apartment complex and I would tell myself, “One day I am going to live here”. I kept telling Alfonso, we've done this before, we move literally and figuratively and the money shows up. Being in the nice side of town was really important to me. I needed to feel abundant in my space and not live in a place that would depress me. I knew that my mindset needed to be right. The apartment was so nice, all the windows faced a heavily wooded area and I had a clear shot of the trail I used to run on, it was great motivation. Sure enough, just 20 days after moving in, Alfonso lands a sales job with a luxury retailer and has the potential to make at least six figures in commission if he applies himself. It had a great base pay that would easily clear our rent and our son’s private school. We set an intention. We would live there for one year which would give us time to buy a house. The down payment for the house was already manifested as it was going to come from the capital gains I had in stocks. 📈 A year and one month later, we closed on our house. Benicio is enrolled at the top private school we dreamed about him being in. Alfonso is a top global salesman at his store, making well over $100k a year. In that apartment facing the trees and the trail, I spent a lot of time understanding where my journey was headed. I took a big pivot from Let There Be Luz to In Luz We Trust and made more money than I could have ever imagined at the time. I went from $1k a month to bringing in $260k in my first year living in Texas. 😱 While being extremely scary for me, moving to Texas had paid off big time. After spending an entire day moving into our brand-spanking new home, I stopped by McDonald’s. I ordered a cheeseburger, the little cheap one - you know the one, no bells or whistles, just finely chopped onions, cheese, ketchup, pickles, and mustard. I was starving and after taking that first bite in the parking lot, I thought to myself, this would be so much better if it had extra pickles for a crunch. The next day was a repeat of the one before, I ordered my cheeseburger and I paused for a moment…. should I ask for extra pickles? For some weird reason, just the ask, even though I was going to pay, felt like an inconvenience to those making my burger. Like I was doing the most. 😏 So I passed on asking for the extra pickles - I sat in the parking lot, took my first big bite, and I was in complete disbelief. There they were, a mountain of pickles. 🤯 This isn’t just something that “happens” - you know Mcdonald’s has strict protocols on how many ingredients are placed in your order. I sat there and thought of all of the things I had wanted badly and was now simply watching the Universe orchestrate for me in ways I could have never dreamed of. That's the thing about the Universe, you need to give it time and space to do its work. It is never solely about what you can see. Manifesting is equal parts what you can see and what you can’t see. You are responsible for taking action as well as taking care of what you can see. The Universe is responsible for taking action and taking care of what you can’t see. But if you keep believing in only what you can see, then there is no space for all of the gifts that you want but can’t currently see. 👁 Am I making sense…. Do you see? I went home and I immediately put together a mock cover of my book. I called it, “Don’t Forget To Ask for Extra Pickles.” Two months after creating that mock book cover and adding it to my vision board, I got an email from one of the biggest literary agents that represents Latine writers in the U.S. She told me how she had been taking my stock market courses and how she believes I have a book. In her email, she asked me if I had ever thought about writing a book. As I read the email, I looked up and stared at the mock cover I had created just a couple of months prior. 😭 There’s this powerful experience when manifesting. It starts with identifying what you truly want, taking action towards it, and allowing for the Universe to handle what you can’t see. You have to be flexible with how the gifts are delivered, understanding that what you can’t see is just that…. It doesn't mean it’s not in the works or on its way.. In Master Manifestor we will go through the process of building a vision board. Not in one night and not with magazines that are limited to your current experiences. We will go through an intentional process where we will reflect on all of the thoughts, good and bad, surrounding what you want to manifest this year. And we will develop a plan of action to move forward and manifest that shit! - Today is the last day to join. P.S. The name of my book is Wealth Warrior and while it is not, Don’t Forget To Ask for Extra Pickles, it is, however, the name of chapter 6 in my book.
